Locate textbooks and course materials on reserve at the library. These items can be checked out for use within the library. Request textbooks through the Reserve form by clicking on the Course Reserves link.

E-Reserves is an electronic reserves software program that enables students to access selected scanned course readings. These selections can include book chapters, journal articles and print or visual materials that are not available online or in accessible formats for faculty to use as required class readings. E-Reserve is not intended to be used for materials that The College of Staten Island Library already has electronically.

The library offers instruction on effective use of its book and article collections through effective database search strategies and information literacy techniques. Our instruction sessions are tailored to students' research assignments and directly support faculty curriculum. To request instruction, please fill in an Instruction Request form.

The Library Theater may be reserved by faculty and staff for classroom film screenings or related events. Please allow at least two weeks' advance notice.

Librarians can create subject or course-specific resource guides for your students. These guides are a helpful way of pointing your students to appropriate sources from the library and the open web. You can browse a list of our current subject or course guides here, or contact a subject librarian to collaborate on creating a custom guide for your class or subject area.
