The CSI Library now has access to over 5000 vinyl records, originally housed in the Media Services department. Professor Jonathan Cope, Reference and Instruction Librarian, has curated a selection of 100 albums that have been catalogued and made available for you to listen.
The Library purchased a record player for students, faculty, and staff to play these records. The vinyl record collection is housed on the 1st floor of the Library near the reference desk. Patrons may borrow headphones at the circulation/reserves desk and listen to a record. Currently, the record collection includes classical, rock, folk, and jazz music. They are in sensitive condition, so they can only be used in the Library.
Professor Cope is currently cataloging this selected list of albums by title, album, and genre. The collection is not available on OneSearch, but will be made available on a special database called Discogs for searching in the near future. If you need help finding a specific record, please contact Professor Cope.
