CSI's Sustainability Mission and Efforts

Visit the CSI Sustainability page to learn about CSI's commitment to protect the environment and develop sustainable patterns of development on its 204 acre campus. Through various initiatives, the College is committed to creating a “greener” campus that is mindful of how conservation can improve its future. CSI is currently focusing on sustainability in these areas and planning to expand on these areas in the future: Water, Energy, Transportation, Recycling, Compost, and Trash.

CSI Sustainability Clubs

  • The Sustainable Student Organization is the group that encourages a stronger student presence in the sustainability movement at CSI. It is the voice of the student body regarding ideation and implementation of various sustainability initiatives that will push our college to become more environmentally conscious.
  • The Garden Club increases the sustainability of the campus by maintaining a community garden that provides the campus center auxiliary service with fruits and vegetables, thereby contributing to a reduction in CSI's carbon footprint.
