Past Events

This virtual event was part of the Racial Equity, Social Justice and Sustainability Series hosted by the Office of Sustainable Community Planning in collaboration with the CSI Library and Social Work Departments. A recording of the event is available here.

Participants were encouraged to view the film prior to the event. "Cooked: Survival by Zip Code" can currently be viewed on the PBS Independent Lens website. The film is based on the book, Heat wave: A social autopsy of disaster in Chicago by Eric Klinenberg.
