The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks tells the story of an African American woman who becomes an unwitting pioneer for medical breakthroughs when her cells are used to create the first immortal human cell line in the early 1950s. The film is based on a book of the same name, available at the CSI Library.
The Library is proud to co-sponsor this film as part of the campus-wide events celebrating Black History Month
