What is Zotero?

Zotero is a free, client-based tool, that automatically generates citations from books, articles, web sites, and other sources.  You can instantly compile all sources from Zotero and create a reference list in many different citation styles.

Register for a free account here and download the client. Install the browser connector (or plugin) to sync your client with the browser so you can automatically extract sources from the web, databases, social media, and sync with the Zotero client.

With Zotero, you can save the full text articles (PDF) to the cloud, share your citations with other Zotero users, and sync with other software programs such as ​​​​​​​ Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and OpenOffice.
