Resources for Learning and Teaching Remotely

This guide lists a few of the electronic resources that are now available to students and faculty to help with distance learning and teaching for the Spring semester

Blackboard and Remote Technology Needs

All library resources can be accessed via our website using your SLAS password. If your password isn't working, please contact the Information Technology HelpDesk ( If you are searching our materials off campus, you might be asked to enter your library barcode, which should be a sticker on the back of your Dolphin Card. If you do not have a barcode, you can still access all our resources from home using your SLAS; so don't worry! Without the barcode you will not see all our results in OneSearch and you will not be able to request books. Please check out our FAQ for more information.

OIT is recommending Webex, Blackboard Collaborate, and Microsoft Teams as three ready-to-go solutions for the colleges to use for virtual classrooms and distance learning. Please see "Blackboard Faculty and Student Quick-Start Guides" and "Training and Technology Support" on the college Coronavirus Message webpage.

Technology Needs Assessment

The Library's laptop loan service is currently suspended while the Library is closed during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Office of Information Technology is participating in a CUNY-wide effort to assess your technology needs as you continue to participate in distance learning. In order for the College to get a gauge of your technology requirements, please complete the Mobile Device Inquiry Form
